This year we will take on the lovely Dingle Peninsula made famous by the film Ryan’s Daughter which won 2 Oscars and was filmed in west Kerry in 1969. We will pass through Castlemaine the home of Jack Duggan “THe WILD COLONIAL BOY” who was born here in 1806.
We will pass by Inch Strand with its 3 miles of sandy beach on our way to Dingle. West of Dingle we will view the world famous Slea Head and stop in The Blasket Heritage Centre for some refreshments and an audio-visual of the life and times of Peig Sayers. We will visit Molly Gallivans 200 year old cottage and visitor centre in Bonane, Kenmare; which is situated half way between Kenmare and Glengarriff. Here you can enjoy home baking in Molly’s Old Teashop and browse the unique craft shop.
