SLIGO & THe WILD ATLANTIC WAY

This is a four day tour to Sligo and the beautiful West Coast of Ireland.
The beautiful area around Sligo boasts some of the most spectacular scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way. We will be staying in the lovely 4 star Sligo Park Hotel, a favourite of Candy Tours. We will visit Glencar Waterfall standing 50ft high a wonderful sight even if you have visited before. We will travel to Ballina in Co Mayo to visit the grave of Fr Joseph Foy (the healing priest), more about this priest and his works on the day. We will visit Mullaghmore with its breathtaking views of majestic sea cliffs and Classiebawn Castle.
We will visit the grave of WB Yeats in Drumcliff Graveyard. John will relate all the history about the famous poet on the day, his love affair with Maude Gonne and some of his famous writing’s based around Sligo.

“I will arise and go now and go to Innisfree and a small cabin build there of clay and wattles made”.
We will also visit the beautiful Tobernalt Holy Well with a lovely stream flowing through the grounds and the stations of the cross displayed, a truly beautiful place. Candy Tours will have a room booked for enterainment each night.
